Formerly “Because My Sister Made Me”, A La Coco is a tribute to all things that inspire me, rile me and fire me up.

I’m Courtney, aka Coco according to some college friends and now my fiance, Stockton. Engaged to be married in August of 2010, you can expect to hear about the goings-on of a bride-to-be, the screw ups of a new-to-the-workplace marketer and sales rep, the musings of a wanna-be seamstress and whatever else occurs to me as “blog worthy.”

My sister convinced me to become a blogger in 2009, and I resented the fact that I actually enjoyed it for quite some time (hence the former title). In 2010, I am blogging not because my sister is making me anymore, but because I want to share, I want to grow, I want to be in a community, and I want to see if my blog can be my own little message in a bottle: thrown out into a vast abyss and returned in the form of….

Guess we’ll just have to see.
